Wheels and Pencils: in London The protagonists of cars and bikes Italian design

On 14th and 15th March 2020, King’s College of London will guest Wheels and pencils – The Protagonists of cars and bikes Italian Design.

Wheels and Pencils – The Protagonists of cars and bikes Italian Design, that will be held on March, 14th and 15th, 2020 at King’s College of London, will illustrate the excellence goals achieved by our automotive industry in over a century of history.

Wheels and Pencils is promoted by the Italian General Consulate in London within the framework of the Integrated promotion program of the country system of the Italian Ministry of Foreign affairs, and is appointed by The Italian Chamber of Commerce for the Uniterd Kingdom and Asi – Italian historic cars and bikes club.

The event is organized by Italia Notizie 24 scarl and by King’s College Italian Society, with the collaboration of Mauto – National cars museum of Turin and Flaminio Bertoni Museum of Varese.

The program: a conference, a multimedia exhibition, a work by “ModenArt” and a classic  cars expo

Wheels and Pencils is divided into several events in the event, which testify in various terms the excellence of Italian automotive design:

  • the multimedia exhibition “Wheels and Pencils”, lasting a weekend (Saturday and Sunday, from 10 am to 6 pm), with videos, photographs, projects drawings and illustrations;
  • “ModenArt”, one of the artworks that the craftsmen of the Carrozzeria Scaglietti are creating with the shells of prestigious cars from the 50’s and 60’s;
  • an exhibition of classic cars, all of them designed by Italian designers and with a particular stylistic and productive interest;
  • a speech about The protagonists of cars and bikes Italian design, in which designers, managers and experts will talk about the successes of Italian design over time.

The Wheels and Pencils event has been made possible by the collaboration of companies and institutions that provided their funtamental contribution: they are Fioravanti Srl, Enrico Fumìa Design, GFG Giugiaro, italdesign, Paolo Martin, Maserati, Gianluca Migliarotti and Kid Dandy Production, Pininfarina and Tamburini Corse.
